The versatility of an OEM can be gauged from the range of products it releases in a year. On this aspect we would like to give Samsung full points. On one hand, we have flagship devices like Galaxy S8/S8+ with 5.7 inch and 6 inch screen and bezel-less design, on the other hand there’s this Samsung flip phone which should soon see the light of the day. Samsung truly is proving its mettle this year.
A Samsung device with model number SM-G9298 has appeared on WiFi Alliance, which we believe is Samsung’s upcoming flip phone. It’s been two years since Samsung has released a flip phone. The last one was unveiled way back in 2015 bearing model number SM-G1298.
This pushes us to make a safe bet that the SM-G9298 device listed on WiFi Alliance is successor to the 2015 flip phone. The listing mentions that the phone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As regards the rest of the specs, our guess is as good as yours.

However, drawing some hint from Samsung G9198, we assume the new Samsung flip phone will sport 3.9 inch or above Super AMOLED display and carry 2GB RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. As the 2015 device had a dual-screen, it is likely that Samsung will continue the trend.
