There are some speculations regarding the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo revealing what we can expect when it goes official. The rumors regarding the smartphone seem not to cease tipping at a possible launch of the 2014 model with a twist.
A device carrying the model number SM-G930F has now received the Wi-Fi certification. On close observation, the document makes many things clear. It states that it is a smartphone with support to 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands and that the device will operate on Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. It also claims that Samsung received the Wi-Fi certification for this device on July 6, 2015.
Of course, the model number of the device matches that of the Galaxy S5 Neo that is a variant of the Galaxy S5 launched in 2014 in several ways. The device seems to have similar aspects such as a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD 1080p resolution, 2 GB of RAM for multitasking and 16 GB of native memory capacity. The other goodies include a 16 MP main snapper and 2,800 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 Neo differs from its yesteryear model in terms of hardware as it will arrive with a new 64 bit octa core Exynos 7580 processor in the place of the Snapdragon 801 SoC. Also, there will be a 5 MP front facer and not a 2 MP one. It will arrive with LTE-Advanced connectivity and Android 5.1 Lollipop platform in both single and dual SIM variants.
The Galaxy S5 Neo is rumored to be made available for pre-order in Czech Republic for a price of $490.
