Is a physical QWERTY keyboard phone still your thing? Well, cheer up mate. Our friends at TmoNews have found a picture of the Samsung SGH-T699, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard Android phone. The name is not new to us, we’ve heard rumors of the Samsung SGH-T699 being T-Mobile’s Galaxy Nexus previously and some also believed it be T-Mobile’s Galaxy S3, but this picture above puts all those rumors to hold as it appears to be a mid-level QWERTY Android phone.

Not much is known about the specs of SGH-T699, but a 5MP camera at the back and a front facing camera LED notification light is confirmed. Also, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in there, but it’s not sure if it’s Qualcomm’s yesteryear goodness (S3) or the latest S4 processor. I think it’d be last year’s S3 chip, since it really really looks like a mid-level phone, and the S4 chipset is going to be used in T-Mobile’s high-end phones like the Galaxy S3. So IMO, Qualcomm S3 it is.

Now looking close into the picture, I can definitely say that SGH-T966 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. Because there’s that keyboard icon in the notification bar at the top-left corner of the screen, and that icon only appears on Android 4.0 running devices. But you can save yourself that ninja-eye look effort to the picture as our source has also confirmed that it runs on Android 4.0.4.
