When Samsung halted the Galaxy S8 Oreo update, owners of the phones had to wait for over a week before the rollout resumed. In fact, this is what we thought Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users were facing following Samsung’s decision to halt the update after some issues were detected in the initial rollout.
However, it appears that Samsung has already fixed the issue and the Galaxy S7 Oreo update has resumed, as reported by SamMobile. The new update is rolling out to the S7 as firmware version G930FXXU2ERE8 while the Galaxy S7 Edge is receiving software version G935FXXU2ERE8.
The update is rolling out to the S7 and S7 Edge over the air, but we still don’t know if this release is targeting a larger group.
