Samsung has released a new update for their TouchWiz Home launcher that takes it up to the Galaxy S8 launcher version(v6.1.02). This means that the new updated launcher is what comes pre-installed with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
There are several UI changes and other enhancements with the updated launcher, but the update isn’t available in all countries yet. Where it is available, you can simply update your current TouchWiz Home launcher from the Play Store. The places it isn’t available, not to worry, as we have added the download link to the APK.
The new Galaxy S8 launcher will work only on Samsung smartphones that are running Android 7.0 Nougat. So if you’ve got a device that’s still on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, then you cannot update the launcher.
If you prefer a cleaner looking Home Screen and a smoother launcher, we recommend you install the update. To install it manually, make sure Unknown Sources is checked in Developer Settings and then install the downloaded APK. All links below.
