Samsung is finally rolling out the February security patch for the recently launched Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) handsets. A couple of weeks ago, Samsung had outlined about the February security patch and the list of compatible devices. Now, the update is being pushed out to the devices mentioned above on a global basis.
The security update comes with firmware build numbers A320YDXU1AQB1 and A520FXXU1AQB2 for the Galaxy A3 (2017) and Galaxy A5 (2017) respectively. The February security patch brings along bug fixes as well. It also includes stability and performance improvements. As the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take a while for the update to reach your handset. So, hold tight until it flashes on your device.

Samsung had announced the Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), and Galaxy A7 (2017) in January this year and it was only yesterday when the latter two made their way to the Indian soil. While the Galaxy A5 (2017) is priced at $434, the Galaxy A7 (2017) bears a price tag of $502. Both of these phones will be up for grabs in India starting 15th of this month. Potential buyers can pre-book these handsets starting March 7th via the company’s own e-store.
