Samsung’s mobile payment service, Samsung Pay, was launched in India in March across select devices which did not include Galaxy A9 Pro. Well, that changes now with expansion of Samsung Pay service to the mentioned device.

When introduced in India, Samsung Pay was compatible with eight devices including Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2016), and Galaxy A5 (2016). The number has gone up to nine with the inclusion of Galaxy A9 Pro in the list.

In India, Samsung has tied up with banks including Axis, HDFC, ICICI, SBI, and Standard Chartered for the mobile payment service. In addition to debit and credit cards, Samsung Pay also works with Paytm.

Meanwhile, early this month Samsung’s Gear S3 smartwatch received support for Samsung Pay in Korea. Samsung Pay is now available in 16 markets around the world including the United States, China, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Brazil, UAE, Sweden and India.
