Samsung’s wearable division isn’t doing as great in the market as the mobile division is, but this isn’t deterring the company’s efforts to grab a small portion of the growing market.
At the MWC 2019, the Korean company unveiled the Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit e, and Galaxy Watch Active to add to its growing list of wearables. The Watch Active, as the name suggests, is a smartwatch built with the rugged user in mind, boasting an IP68 and MIL-STD 810G-rated body that still keeps fashion-conscious consumers at heart, but there is more to this wearable, especially when compared to the two fitness bands.
On this page, we have everything you need to know about the Galaxy Watch Active. If you want to know about the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit e fitness bands, check out this page.

In case you are wondering, the Galaxy Watch Active is basically a smaller, more affordable variant of the 2018 edition, a move that Samsung hopes will make the smartwatch appealing to more customers.
The Watch Active borrows a significant number of features from its more premium and older sibling, among them an AMOLED panel, a heart-rate monitor, NFC chip, in-built GPS, IP68 dust and water resistance, a multi-day battery, and support for wireless charging.
In essence, you are getting what is basically the same experience as the Galaxy Watch, but at $150 less than the asking price of the 2018 edition. It’s true the Watch Active may not tag along every other feature found in smartwatches, but for its value, you’ll struggle to find a better alternative.
The watch has a great design, robust fitness tracking, Qi wireless charging, native support for the Spotify app, and you also get Samsung Pay on board, which is just impressive.
