Oh Lord, enough with the awkwardly big names already. After T-Mobile’s announcement of the Galaxy S Relay 4G, Sprint has also announced a new Samsung phone – Galaxy Victory 4G LTE. The Galaxy Victory is a mid-range device with a dual-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity, for a low price of $99, aimed at those looking for an affordable yet powerful LTE-enabled smartphone.

Available from September 16th, the Galaxy Victory will cost $99 for new customers on a 2-year contract, and for upgrading customers after a $50 mail-in rebate. It will also feature NFC for touch payments via Google Wallet, which will be preloaded on the device.

Here are the announced specs of the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE:

  • 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
  • 4″ display
  • 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and video capture
  • 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI and features like S Voice, S Beam, AllShare Play, etc

For the asking price of $99, the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE should be a nice option for those looking for a good mid-range device as well as those moving on from a feature phone.
