As per the recent rumors and speculations, the South Korean tech giant Samsung is all set to unveil two high-end Android slates dubbed Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Galaxy Tab S2 9.7. These tablets will succeed the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 that went official last year.
Earlier, we saw some renders of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 carrying the model number SM-T815. Now, it seems like it is the time to have a look at the Tab S2 8.0 with the model number SM-T715.
The alleged Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has been approved by TENAA, the Chinese regulatory and certification database. The device is listed to boast of an 8 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1536×2048 pixels and 4:3 aspect ratio.
The listing further reveals that the device measures 198.2 x 134.5 x 5.4 mm in dimension and 260 grams in weight. This indicates that the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 could be the slimmest tablet launched so far with 5.4 mm thickness.
The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is likely to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop and make use of a 1.9 GHz octa core Exynos 7420 chipset teamed up with 3 GB of RAM. The other aspects of the device include an 8 MP main snapper, a 2 MP front facer and 16 GB of native storage space.
