If you have been keeping track of Samsung Galaxy tablets, you would know that the successor to Galaxy Tab A tablets is on cards.
The 2017 variant of Galaxy A tablet was previously being called as Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017, however, the popular tipster, Ronald Quandt has revealed that the device with model number Samsung SM-T380 / SM-T385 will be known as Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S and not Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017.

The new name doesn’t affect the earlier listings of Galaxy Tab A2 S, which has already appeared on TENAA, FCC and WiFi Alliance as model number Samsung SM-T380 / SM-T385.
According to the previous listings, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017 now known as Galaxy Tab A2 S is a budget friendly tablet that features 8.0″ display with a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels. The tablet will pack 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage space. It will be powered by a 1.4GHZ quad-core Snapdragon 427 SoC coupled with Adreno 308 GPU for graphics.

In the camera segment, the 8-inch will allow you to capture images with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. A 5,000mAh battery will keep the lights on while the tablet should boot Android 7.1 Nougat. The device will be made available in Black and Gold colors.
