Samsung is a prominent share holder in the tablet arena in India. The firm seems to be aiming to persist with its strong presence as it is introducing a couple of new slates called Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Tab E in India.
The Galaxy Tab A is a mid range tablet that provides LTE connectivity and it boasts of an 8 inch display with a screen resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Under its hood, the slate is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable native storage space.
The Galaxy Tab A’s imaging hardware comprises of a 5 MP main snapper at its back and a 2 MP front facing selfie shooter for video conferencing. The other goodies onboard this slate running on Android 5.0 Lollipop includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 4,200 mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab E is a larger 9.6 inch device that has a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The device makes use of a 1.3 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor paired with 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable native memory capacity. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G for connectivity and a 5,000 mAh battery energizes the device.
The Galaxy Tab A has already been launched in India for a price of Rs 20,500 (approx. $320) via both online and offline retailers. The Galaxy Tab E will be listed for sale in India exclusively via the e-commerce portal giant Flipkart in the coming weeks. This device will be priced at Rs 16,900 (approx. $264). Both the tablets are loaded with 2 GB of data from Vodafone and Airtel.
