Samsung has unveiled its latest Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab 2 preloaded with Android Ice Cream Sandwich out-of-the-box. This tablet seems to be positioned slightly below the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, though, has a spec-sheet quite similar to the Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus with the same resolution (WSVGA) 7″ PLS LCD, 1GB RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage, and other connectivity.
But the camera-unit has been compromised as the auto-focus has been done-away with to accommodate a fixed-focus 3mp unit and there is no LED-flash to assist it. While the chipset inside is clocked at 1GHz instead of the 1.2GHz in the 7.0 Plus. The waistline too, seems to have got a bump as it is 0.6mm thicker than the Tab 7.0 Plus’ 9.9mm.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 will go off the shelves from March. We don’t have the info on the price but it should definitely be placed below the Tab 7.0, as the feature-list suggests.
