Samsung has finally made the Galaxy S8+ 6GB/128GB official by listing it on its official Samsung South Korea website. The 6GB variant of Galaxy S8+ has been launched in South Korea, as against past rumors that it will be China exclusive.
The Galaxy S8+ with 6GB of RAM and 128GB native storage will be available for purchase through Samsung South Korea as well as South Korean cellular carriers. It will come in Midnight Black color and will be shipped with support for Samsung DeX Station.
Notably, the base model of Galaxy S8+ packs in 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. Other specs on the Galaxy S8+ 6GB remain the same as those found in S8+ 4GB which includes a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 on top. It is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor/Exynos processor and runs Android Nougat with TouchWiz UI on top.
Coming to the camera section, the Galaxy S8+ boasts of 12MP dual-pixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 8MP selfie snapper with auto-focus. Power comes courtesy a 3,500mAh battery. Other features include AI assistant Bixby, Always On display, IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and rear mounted fingerprint scanner.
At this point, we do not know if Samsung will make this Galaxy S8+ 6GB available in other regions as well. Neither do we know when will the company put up this device for ore-order and sale.
