Hot on the wild success of Galaxy SII devices worldwide, Samsung just announced that its new phone – Galaxy S II HD LTE – will be soon launched in South Korea. Galaxy S II HD LTE — that’s a long name, btw — will be launched with 3 major Korean carriers: SK Telecom, KT and LG U+.
Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE Specs include: 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 16 GB storage space, LTE, 8 MP cam in back capable of 1080p recordings, etc. Although 1 GB RAM and 2 MP front facing camera were not in the list, we’ve no doubt both these features would make it to final spec sheet. of course, Wi-Fi, 3G, a-GPA etc are on board too.
Btw, the S2 HD LTE might turn out to be world’s first HD phone, depending on its release which may or may not be before other HD phones like Nexus Prime, Droid RAZR, etc. The display of this phone is of particular interest, as it the superb Super AOMLED display in its HD form, producing resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Amazing!
This is not the only device Samsung announced today, the other one being Galaxy S II LTE, which is more or less ‘Galaxy S II HD LTE’ without the HD screen though, as it sports a Super AMOLED Plus display which is 4.5 inches wide. And we think, like the S2 LTE, S2 HD LTE will also have 9.5 mm thick body — both of these devices are thicker than original Galaxy S2, which was just 8.5 mm thick, and is the world’s slimmest smartphone.
Price and Release Date details are not known right now but we think it’s not far. Keep watching this space!
