Specs Leaked of Samsung Galaxy Q, Beast of all Entreprise Phones

Samsung Galaxy Q Specs

Samsung got a Super AMOLED screen and the company wants to impress the whole world with this. That includes those blackberry fans too who for one reason or another, have been able to overlook the strides made by Android OS thus far. But no more, Samsung gearing up a business class phone – known as the Galaxy Q – with famous 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor on board, accompanying the first Super AMOLED screen meant for the dedicated office class.

We got a glimpse of what’s coming some time in June, but now, sources have brought us some good specs to develop some insights into the phone. It’s pretty much the Samsung Galaxy S, but the screen size has been narrowed down to 3 inches (only) with display resolution still very good at 720 x 480, in comparison to that of galaxy S, which boasts of 4 inch screen. But there is some silver lining too. You get a 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash, which is a welcome addition to galaxy family of devices from Samsung, who had at best seen only 5 Megapixel cam behind their back so far and that too without LED flash. Plus, there is also a front facing camera for video chatting stuff, able to serve you at 1.3 Megapixel capabilities.

IF that wasn’t enough to cause distraction to the biggest of Blackberry typos, the device will be running Android OS 2.2 — the Froyo — from day one, which is really exciting since we can imagine how much of a performance boost Froyo is gonna give to a super 1 Ghz Hummingbird processor. Add to that, 16 GB of internal memory and you have anything that you would want from a latest and greatest blackberry substitute.

Oh yes there are some other tidbits of info too, that some of you may feel empty without knowing about them, below:

  • Measures 120mm x 68mm x 9.25mm
  • 1500 mAh battery
  • 7.5 hours talktime, 510 hours standby time
  • Multitouch (obviously!)
  • QWERTY Keypad
  • Optical touchpad
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • WiFi b/g/n
  • A-GPS
  • Micro USB
  • Mini HDMI
  • External slot for with 32 GB support

Oh my. Measurement numbers tell of something record breaking here, although by very thin margins of 0.75 inches. We’re talking about the thickness of the device which is said to be only 9.25 inches. We know that the crown of world’s slimmest device currently belongs to iPhone 4 with 9.3mm of thickness, but if Galaxy Q manages a 9.25mm thick body, then the crown will be its. Samsung really got some guts here, what do you think?

And those of you who’d thought why only a 3.0 inch screen, here is what you need to know. First of all, being a Blackberry market killer (ahem.. sort of) the device will not be a regular touch screen device who use most of their front face as screen real estate. For better understanding of what design, have a look at the Motorola Charm, release recently with 2.8 inch touch screen and QWERTY keyboard underneath. Yeah, it’s a blackberry mimic the Galaxy Q should look like that (with all those godly powers in specs), we can safely wager this.
