The 2015 Samsung Galaxy On7 has a new update – an update that we bet not so many ever expected to receive. Also known as the Galaxy Wide in South Korea, Samsung seems to have begun rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat to the On7 2015.
The update is rolling out to the Korean variant of the phone and installs software version G600SKSU1BRC2, which without a doubt breathes a new life into the aging phone, even though it doesn’t bring the latest OS available.
It’s interesting to see Samsung rolling out an OS upgrade to such a device. In fact, it’s even more interesting because this will be the second major OS upgrade for the Galaxy On7 2015, which came preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
It’s worth noting that the OS is rolling out to the Galaxy Wide, which is just the name Koreans call the Galaxy On7 2015. The latter name is popular in India and Brazil, among other markets.
So, if the Korean variant of the On7 2015 is getting the update, it’s just a matter of days before the rest get the same update, too.
