Not much is known about the Galaxy Note 3, with even its existence still a mystery, but a new rumor has now surfaced revealing some of its specs, along with an alleged photo of the device courtesy of MyDrivers.

The first thing you’ll notice is that the picture above mentions the model number i9500, which is the biggest hint that the image might not be real, as the Galaxy Note series’ model number always starts with N and also because i9500 is actually the Galaxy S4’s model number. The bezel also looks to be pretty large, which would cause serious usability issues for a device with screen size upwards of 5-inches.

Oh, and now that we’re talking about the screen, the rumor suggests that the Note 3 will sport a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display. Pretty big if you ask me, but for those that love having the best of a phone and tablet in one device, it might be just as good as the 5.3 and 5.5-inch Note 1 and 2, and become another bestseller for the Korean manufacturer. The first rumor suggested a screen size of 6.3″, which turned out to be featured on the recently announced Galaxy Mega, so 5.99 seems a good bet for the Note 3.

Other specs rumored are the Exynos Octa CPU clocked at 2GHz for the Cortex-A15 cores and at 1.7GHz for the A7 cores, a whopping 3GB of RAM (pretty fake if you ask me, unless Samsung has managed to add so much bloatware that 2GB isn’t enough), 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via a microSD card, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Take everything with a pinch of salt here, particularly that image as well as the 3GB of RAM. The rumor suggests that the Galaxy Note 3 will be announced at the IFA 2013 (starting on September 6th), and we’ll just have to wait and see if any of this turns out to be true.

Thoughts?
