Almost all the vendors have rolled out the Android Lollipop update to their high end devices. Even Samsung did the same by updating its top shelf offerings with the latest iteration of Android. However, the Galaxy Note 2 owners have been facing an exasperating wait to get the update for their devices.
As the Galaxy Note 2 is almost three years old, the device is not eligible to receive any software updates. But, the users of the device had some hope that the Lollipop update will make its way to the device.
There were reports suggesting that no Lollipop build for the Galaxy Note 2 have spotted on the servers of Samsung so far tipping that the device might not receive the update at all. Now, there is official confirmation regarding the same.
Samsung Gulf has confirmed via its Facebook page that the Galaxy Note 2 phablet will not receive the Lollipop update. Considering how Samsung has been functioning till date on rolling out updates, it is not surprising to know the same.
