The 2017 editions of Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 are really getting close to official release now. The devices have been showing up very frequently at FCC recently, and earlier today even received certification from Indonesian certification agency P3DN. And if that wasn’t enough, we just spotted the Galaxy J7 2017 (SM-J730) on GFXBench as well, revealing some of the highlighting specifications of the phone.
As per the GFXBench listing, Galaxy J7 2017 will be coming with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone will be carrying Exynos 7870 processor together with Mali-T830 GPU chip and 3GB of RAM. The listing shows internal storage of the phone to be 11 GB, however, we believe it’ll at-least feature 16GB of internal storage on the base model.
Camera on the Galaxy J7 2017 will see a major upgrade (compared to the 2016 edition) as it’ll feature a 12MP camera on both front and back of the device. Also, you’ll be able to record 1080p videos from both front and back camera.
Since the device is launching with Android 7.0 Nougat, it’ll also feature the new Samsung UI that is shipped with Galaxy S8 and other Nougat running devices from Samsung.
We expect the new Galaxy J5 and J7 2017 editions to be announced by Samsung next month in June. But given the pace of recent leaks, the release might happen in the next couple of weeks as well.
