A while back, Samsung Turkey gave us a rough idea of when to expect Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 to receive an update to Android 8.0 Oreo. The company talked of a September 28 release date, but looking at Oreo’s track record in the country, we can easily agree that Turkey won’t be among the first markets to get Oreo on the Galaxy J3 2017.

In fact, the latest Wi-Fi Alliance certifications do suggest that the Galaxy J3 2017 could be on course to receive the Oreo update this August. Typically, it takes several weeks for an update to be released once the device clears Wi-Fi Alliance, which puts the J3 2017 in a strong position to get Oreo before the end of next month.
Note that this is just us speculating, but we cannot guarantee that indeed Oreo will be ready for release for Galaxy J3 2017 users within the said timeframe. Still, this WFA certification gives us hope that the update is not so far away.
