After paying a visit to WiFi Alliance, Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 has landed at benchmarking site Geekbench hinting its release is just round the corner. Also we get an insight into some of the J3 2017 specifications, thanks to the Geekbench listing.
Bearing the model number SM-J330F, the 2017 iteration of Galaxy J3 has shown up on Geekbench running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. As per the listing, it will carry quad-core Exynos 7570 SoC underneath clocked at 1.4GHz which we have seen grace the body of Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy Xcover4 units. Thus, Galaxy J3 2017 will be a power-efficient device with enhanced CPU performance, albeit at an affordable cost.

The upcoming budget smartphone will carry 2GB RAM, shows the Geekbench listing. This should be coupled with 16GB internal storage, if a past report is to be believed.
The same report showed J3 2017 carrying a 5-megapixel rear snapper and 2-megapixel front shooter, which we think is highly unlikely as its predecessor J5 2016 carried 8MP back camera and 5MP front camera. Also, given that Samsung plans to include Exynos 7570 SoC which has the capability to support upto 13MP/8MP back and front camera, we see no point in downgrading the camera resolutions in an upgraded version of Galaxy J3.
