A new variant of the recently announced Samsung Galaxy J2 has appeared on Geekbench with improved hardware and specifications. This variant of the Galaxy J2 is carrying the model number SM- J250G and has a Qualcomm chipset.
The recently announced Galaxy J2 2017 variant came with an Exynos chipset and a 4.7-inch display. This new variant has a 5-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution and a Snapdragon 425 chipset with Adreno 308 GPU.
This model comes with 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP rear camera, and a 5 MP front facing unit. It is also running Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a Samsung UI on top. Other features aren’t known as of yet.

It looks like this could be a plus/prime/pro variant of the Galaxy J2 that Samsung could announce in certain markets very soon. The company has never before released such a device in the J2 series. It most definitely is a budget smartphone, that is for sure.
