Galaxy Fold 2 is said to have an ultra-thin glass with a clamshell design. With the risk-taking advent of the niche product Galaxy Fold that hit the market before it was fully ready, Samsung has begun designing its “Fold 2” which is expected to roll out in the first half of 2020.
As per the ETnews, Samsung plans to employ the ultra-thin glass for its new foldable device with the use of transparent Polyimide plastic display that will offer high scratch-resistance. It’s been said that Samsung is considering a 6.7-inch screen size, concerning its portability.
It was also reported that the Fold 2 won’t have the same book-like folding design instead, it’ll look like a flip phone with a clamshell design.
If Samsung aims to remain at the top of the niche product market, it needs to constantly update changes with making the device more portable, durable and user-friendly along with making it available at affordable prices.
The Galaxy Fold 2 will be available in white, black, and purple colors with superficial names such as “Cosmos Black” or “Martian Green”, as per Sammobile.
