A full fledged projector, yes – you read that right!! packed into a compact form factor, makes for the Samsung Galaxy Beam, which was announced today at the MWC in Barcelona. We’ve seen projector phones before, but none as compact, and high-quality as the Beam.
The Galaxy Beam is packed with a real projector which allows the user to beam a 50″ wide video or image (for that matter, whatever is on the phone screen) in crisp 640 x 360 resolution, on to virtually any flat surface. What is particularly impressive about this feature, is that most conventional PICO projectors are usually 10-12 lumens bright, and far bigger in size than the Beam, which packs a 15 lumens projector. And that, in addition to a host of other competition topping features, make the Galaxy Beam a potential high-demand candidate upon release.
