Samsung Galaxy A7 2019 to feature a dual curved screen

Samsung has been pushing the standards of the mid-tier Galaxy A series higher with each sequel. After giving the Galaxy A8 and A8+ the trending 18:9 design, dual-lens cameras, USB-C and IP68 dust and water resistance, among other features usually reserved for the high-end Galaxy S and Note series, the Korean company now wants to bring the dual curved screens to the Galaxy A 2019 series.

According to a report by The Bell, Samsung has plans to bring the Edge screen to the Galaxy A series, beginning with the Galaxy A7 2019. It’s strange that the Galaxy A7 is popping up once again, especially since it was replaced by the Galaxy A8+ earlier this year. But it’s not unexpected to see Samsung pushing the edge-to-edge design to its mid-range devices.

The Galaxy A7 2019 will feature a 5.78-inch curved OLED display screen, but the resolution is still unknown. The report says that the panel is already under development and production will begin in Q4 2018 in readiness for a January 2019 release.

Since producing an edge-to-edge panel is costlier than rigid panels, we don’t expect the Galaxy A7 2019 to come on the cheap.
