Samsung recently unveiled a series of new Galaxy A phones and right in the middle of the pack is the Galaxy A50. The phone comes with some impressive specs and features packed in a premium-like design, a huge battery, a tri-lens camera, and it even has an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The A50 is already selling in India and a bunch of other countries and apparently, a U.S. launch is looming. A certain Galaxy A50 handset with model number SM-A505U has stopped by the Bluetooth SIG and history tells us this is a model meant for the U.S. market. This model also stopped by the Wi-Fi Alliance earlier this month, but its the latest development that brings finer details.

Usually, this model should be heading to U.S. carriers and while this is still the case, it seems the Galaxy A50 could be a Sprint exclusive offering in the country.

As always, we don’t get any other significant info from the listing apart from the Bluetooth version, but as noted earlier, the A50 is already among us and we have details of the full specs, as listed below.

  • 6.4-inch 19.5:9 FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display
  • Exynos 9610 processor
  • 4GB or 6GB RAM
  • 64GB or 128GB expandable storage, up to 512GB
  • Tri-lens 25MP + 8MP (ultra-wide) + 5MP (depth sensor)
  • 25MP selfie camera
  • 4000mAh battery
  • Android 9 Pie with One UI
  • Extras: Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, 15W fast charging, in-display FPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, etc.

In India, the Galaxy A50 goes for INR 22,990, an equivalent of $330. If anything, the device should arrive in the country priced anywhere between $350 and $500.
