One of the member of Galaxy S family of devices storming into US this July, Samsung Captivate from AT&T has finally got the launch date tied to it. As told on the Company Twitter account, July 18 is the date you should mark on your calendar — which happens 3 days later than T-Mobile’s Samsung Vibrant — if you still trust AT&T’s network.

Samsung Captivate has been completely redesigned for fresh looks, one that reminds of Blackberry Storm, albeit in slim form factor with bigger screen. It’s unlike other two devices in the family, Samsung Vibrant at T-Mobile and Verizon’s Fascinate, who got only a logo makeup on the face, and retain same looks of Galaxy S, save for buttons below the screen.

The Captivate is AT&T’s best Android offering and wherever network is fine (we hope you find some!) it’s a boon there. After all, AT&T’s has always been shy in giving a good choice when it came to Android phones.

Let’s take a re-look at the most illustrious features of the Captivate, which include 4 inch Super AMOLED screen with 1 Ghz ‘Hummingbird’ processor, Android 2.1, 16 GB of internal memory and 5 megapixel camera capable of recording videos at 720p.

Oh yes, don’t forget about the Droid X unleashing this July 15.
