Location
Slime Island is the central hub for everything related to Rimuru’s Sword. The island houses the Rimuru NPC who sells the sword, the Key Crafter NPC who lets you craft Slime Keys, the slime mobs that drop Slime Shards, and the boss spawn point where you fight the Rimuru boss. There is also a Rimuru Master NPC located on the far left side of the island where you can begin the mastery quest to unlock the F move for the sword.
How to collect all 7 Slime Pieces
Before you can craft a Slime Key, you need to complete a small puzzle quest. Talk to the Slime Key Crafter NPC on Slime Island to activate the quest. You then need to find and collect 7 Slime Pieces scattered around the map. These are hidden in various spots across different islands.
Step 1
Head to the Slime Key Crafter NPC on Slime Island and accept the slime piece collection quest.
Step 2
Travel across the map to locate all 7 Slime Pieces. One of the known locations is under a fossil in the desert area. The pieces are spread across the map in various spots, including on top of trees and hidden near landmarks.
Step 3
Collect each slime piece in order as indicated by the quest tracker.
Step 4
Return to the Slime Key Crafter NPC once you have all 7 Slime Pieces. This unlocks the crafting ability, allowing you to create Slime Keys going forward.
How to craft Slime Keys and spawn the Rimuru boss
Once the slime piece puzzle is done, you can start crafting Slime Keys. These keys are essential because you need one every time you want to spawn the Rimuru boss.
Step 1
Farm the slime mobs on Slime Island to collect Slime Shards. These mobs are located near the Key Crafter NPC and have a chance of dropping Slime Shards upon defeat.
Step 2
Once you have 2 Slime Shards, go to the Key Crafter NPC and craft 1 Slime Key.
Step 3
Use the Slime Key at the boss spawn point on Slime Island to summon the Rimuru boss. You can choose a difficulty level when spawning the boss. Higher difficulty increases the chance of getting rare drops, including the Demon Lord title.
Step 4
Defeat the Rimuru boss. The boss drops the materials you need for the sword, including Sage Pulse, Tempest Seal, Slime Remnant, and Slime Core.
Demon Lord title drop rate
The Demon Lord title is one of the hardest requirements to meet. It has approximately a 1% drop chance from the Rimuru boss. However, there is a pity system in place. If you defeat the Rimuru boss 125 times without receiving the title, it is guaranteed to drop. Choosing a higher difficulty when spawning the boss can improve your odds of getting the title sooner.

Step 1
Make sure you have every material listed above in your inventory, along with the Demon Lord title equipped or earned.

Head to the Rimuru NPC on Slime Island. This is the sword dealer NPC, not the Key Crafter or the Master NPC.

Rimuru’s Sword moveset and damage
Rimuru’s Sword comes with a full set of combat moves. The damage output scales with your build and stats. In testing with a spec build, individual moves deal anywhere from tens of millions to nearly 500 million damage on critical hits at higher levels.
The moveset includes multiple abilities mapped to different keys, with the X ability dealing around 27 to 76 million damage and the C ability hitting approximately 97 million damage in base testing. The Z and V moves are capable of even higher numbers, with the V ability reaching close to 449 million damage.
How to unlock the F move through mastery
