runtastic PRO sports assistant android app

Runtastic Pro Sports Assistant app from runtastic.com has gone totally free in the android market. It usually costs around $5-6 in the market. Grab it now!

Runtastic Pro Sports Assistant is an official app from the guys behind the runtastic.com, which helps you track down your outdoor sports activities — running, cycling, walking, hiking, etc. Well, it’s a good Sports tracker app but the only ‘why’ we are talking about this app right now is because it’s gone completely FREE in the android market for a while. The app usually costs around $5-6, so if you’re looking for a fully feature-loaded app to accompany you in jogging, cycling etc. you should head straight up to android market and download the Runtastic Pro Sports Assistant app.

Official comment on Runtastic Pro going Free:

We´re making runtastic PRO for free for a few days beginning with Sunday, 9th of January 2011

As you would expect, the app makes full use that GPS chip residing inside your phone to trim out details of each of such activity in terms of time, distance, speed elevation, etc. There is also a Voice Feedback system to keep you updated about your ongoing activity without needing you to frequently check back the screen. Other things include showing your position on the map along with the route and a training log, and for what it’s worth, heart rate teller is also there. With the Pro version, you can also geotag pics taken during the activity run, which is really cool, and fast and easy.

I think the Runkepper Pro android app — which went for FREE for full January month only recently — is the main reason you’re getting this very lucrative offer from the Runtastic guys.

So, Run! Run! Run! and grab the Runtastic android app by either scanning the QR Code below or hit the android market link below in your phone’s browser.
