Samsung has apparently been working on a Plus version of the Galaxy S2 – the Galaxy S2 Plus, and its specs have leaked online courtesy of unofficial Samsung blog Sammobile. And you might not like what you read in its specs, specially regarding the processor, which is apparently going to be a single-core 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A-1, a processor that is quite old and outdated at this point.
Considering the phone has the “Plus” in its name, the processor info is probably wrong and the phone will most probably sport a 1.5GHz dual-core processor as rumored before. The other specs mentioned seem fine for an upgrade, so it remains to be seen what processor the actual phone comes out with.
The other specs of the device are as follows:
- 4.3” 480×800(VWGA) Super AMOLED+
- Wi-Fi 80211 a/b/g/n, HSDPA 7.2/5.76 900/2100, EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900
- 8MP rear cam (2.0 MP front camera)
- 16 GB/32 GB + microSD (up to 32 GB)
- Android 4.0 ICS
- MicroUSB
- 3.5mm Earjack
- BT 2.1, A-GPS
- 1650 mAh battery
- Color: Blue Grey
No official photos of the device have been released yet, and neither is the pricing and availability information, so stay tuned as we bring you further info as soon as we hear more.
