Sony has begun rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat under Sony’s Concept for Android releases for Xperia X. Previously, the Japanese manufacturer rolled out beta builds of Android 7.0 Nougat for Xperia X Performance via the Xperia beta program.

Once the company is done testing the Nougat update, it should release for all supported Sony Xperia devices. And if you’re someone like us, you’re probably also wondering about the rootability of Sony’s Nougat builds once they are available.

Well, Sony has always been a friendly manufacturer for users and developers alike. If you wan to root a Sony Xperia device, all you gotta do is unlock the bootloader first, then install TWRP recovery and then install/flash the SuperSU zip via TWRP.

You can find a TWRP recovery for your Xperia device over at TeamWin’s official website or at xda forums. Once you’ve the recovery installed, follow the instructions below to root your Xperia phone on Nougat.
