The Galaxy Tab 7.7″ is sure getting some developer love lately. XDA member Jade Eyed Wolf  has posted about a rooting method for the Tab 7.7 in his thread over at XDA forums. It appears that the rooting method used for the Galaxy Tab 7 Plus  works just fine with the Tab 7.7 as well.

The rooting method is pretty straightforward, and involves flashing the root zip file through the default recovery on the Tab. You do need an external SD card (microSD) card installed though. Let’s go through the usual stuff, and move right on to how we can root this baby, and liberate it from the shackles of the stock OS.
