There has been an unending stream of news, rumors and speculations about the HTC One M9 almost ever since the M8 was launched. And with the MWC — where HTC will officially unveil its flagship phone — only a few days away, the time just can’t pass quick enough.
The M9 is sure to boast of a pretty impressive specsheet which from what we know, consists of a 2900 mAh battery, an all metal build like the M8 and Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 810 processor with four Cortex-A57 cores running at 2 GHz and the Cortex-A53 quarter clocking at 1.5 GHz, running Android 5.0.2. And lets not forget the snappers on the upcoming device.
We already knew that the M9’s camera is going to be anything but commonplace, whether you talk about its resolution of 20 Mega Pixels — where there is a surprising five fold jump over the M8 — or its shape and size. In a previous article, we had already discussed how the Otterbox M9 cases available for pre-order clearly point to a large squarish camera, and a bunch of new cases that have appeared on Amazon confirm it.
Spec-wise, the shooter may be of a f/2.2 aperture and 27.8 mm lens equivalent, which almost rules out any possibility of the telltale sensor used by Sony in its 20 MP Xperia Z3. However, according to leakster Ricciolo, Toshiba may just have a hand in providing the camera sensors for the One M9. We also have him to thank for the correction on camera aperture which according to Ricciolo is f/2.4 rather than the previously suggested f/2.2.
Well, we don’t have much of a long wait left before us, let’s just keep our fingers crossed for another superb phone from HTC.
