Lollipop is the latest version of Android and Google released the OS last year in November. Since its release, quite a few users have complained of incompatibility of some apps with the latest release. But, a recent report from Crittercism states that Android users on Lollipop experience 0.2 percent less crashes than the users who are using the iOS 8 version of Apple’s mobile OS. This may not seem like a lot but still, when you compare the number of people using iPhones with that version of software, it ends up being more than you think!

Further, it was also reported that the iOS 8 is also experiencing a higher app crash rate than its previous version, iOS 7 which was reported to have an app crash rate of 1.9%. So now, if you compare Lollipop to Kit Kat (which experienced a crash rate of 2.6%) you can see that Android’s instability rate is decreasing while that of iOS 8 is increasing.

App crashes not only depends on OS, they also depend on device type and is a device issue too. So, while some of you may argue that 0.2% is just a small difference, it is probably what makes or breaks the corresponding OS for many of its users.
