Discovering the Reliquary of Courage location

To find this puzzle, head into the Yotei Grasslands region of the map, specifically west of the Shadow of Yotei Inn and across the Sarubetsu River. Look for a curved riverbank near the northwestern arm of the river. As you approach, a golden bird may guide you to the exact location. A woman near the statue can share some local folklore if you stop to talk.

Interpreting the riddle at the reliquary

When you examine the base of the central pillar, you'll read this riddle:

"A boy was lost and alone
But wolves came from every corner to guide him
Their eyes gazing at the true Mount Yotei".

The clues hint at the solution: wolves guiding the way by looking toward Mount Yotei.

How to complete the Reliquary of Courage

Follow these steps to complete the Reliquary of Courageand get the Charm of Mount Yotei:

Step 1

Locate the four wolf statues forming a cross around the central reliquary. Each is at the end of a small dirt path leading away from the central pillar.

Step 2

Identify Mount Yotei in the distance—it is the large, volcano-shaped mountain to the west. When standing by the inscription at the reliquary, Mount Yotei will be directly behind you.

Step 3

Walk to each wolf statue individually. Use the interact button to turn each statue until it faces directly toward Mount Yotei (west).

You may need to rotate each several times; they turn independently, so there's no order or pattern to follow beyond this direction.

Step 4

Once all four wolf statues face Mount Yotei, a short cutscene will trigger: Atsu will collect a charm from the central reliquary as a reward.
