The upcoming Redmi Note 4X, a more powerful version of the Note 4, would be priced around 1299 Yuan, according to a Chinese source. Other details about the smartphone have also been revealed and coincide with previous leaks.

The latest leak suggests that the Note 4X would feature the Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor. It would include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device would have a 5.5 inch full HD display, a 16MP rear camera, and a 8MP front camera.

Looks like this is going to a be minor update. The Note 4 uses a MediaTek Helio X20 processor and has 3GB of RAM and the same display. The only changes with the 4X will be a slightly faster processor, more RAM and a higher resolution camera.

We’re not sure if Xiaomi will launch the Note 4X with Nougat or keep it running on Android 6.0.1. If this is just a minor update, then it could come with Marshmallow. A previously leaked image of the device also had it running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow only.

A release date for Redmi Note 4X isn’t known yet, but we do know that it would be priced very competitively.
