Qianye Fight Mechanics

Unlike most fights that are divided into two phases, fight with Qianye is divided into three phases:

Phase 1

In the first phase, she uses attacks like upward slashes, crescent slashes, and aerial slashes, including scythe tosses. Many of her attacks are horizontal or ground-based, so you can vault over them and get close. The Panacea Fan healing art helps sustain health during the intense battle.

Phase 2 - Qianye The Witch

In the second phase, her attack pattern shifts with new moves such as dash and slash combos and hovering slashes that can be unblockable or unparryable depending on their visual cues. At 50% health, she performs a powerful fiery ground slam that marks the transition to the final phase.

Phase 3

The third phase demands precise parrying and dodging skills. Practicing parry timings is crucial to surviving and counterattacking in this phase. The fight tests endurance and reaction speed, with heavy damage potential for missed dodges.

Weaknesses

Like the Heartseeker, Qianye's main weaknesses lie in her predictable attack patterns during certain moves, which can be exploited through well-timed parries and dodges. She is particularly vulnerable after missed or blocked charged lunges and during the short recovery period after her weapon-throwing attacks.

Preparation is fundamental to overcoming Qianye, especially on higher difficulty levels and :

  • Equip the Panacea Fan for health recovery throughout the prolonged fight.
  • Use weapons like the Nameless SwordStrategic Sword, or Umbrella based on preferred combat style.
  • Level up weapons, armor, and character to at least level 28 to match or exceed the boss.
  • Mystic Arts such as Threefold Skywalk (to vault over horizontal or ground slashes), Leaping ToadMeridian Touch (to interrupt attacks), and Cloud Steps (for mobility) are highly recommended.

How to beat the Qianye in one go

Step 1

Engage with caution and use Yi Dao’s aid in Phase 1 for distraction while practicing parries.

Step 2

In Phase 2, let Qianye approach to better anticipate and counter her dash-and-slash combos. Utilize Panacea Fan to sustain health.

Step 3

For Phase 3, focus on perfect parries and stamina management to survive the intense barrage. Use mobility arts to evade and get critical hits.

Step 4

Capitalize on staggered moments after successful parries to deal maximum damage without risking counterattacks.

Victory over Qianye the Witch demands a blend of strong equipment choices, skilled timing of parries and dodges, and mastery of mobility and healing arts.
