The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is now available for pre-order in US — here. The bigger brother of this 8.9 inch 1 GHz dual-core tablet, Galaxy Tab 10.1 has already become critics favorite — and that of consumers and Apple too (the lawsuits, eh!) — and this 8.9 incher doesn’t leave any of the 10.1 inch tablet goodness behind, except the screen size of course.

Galaxy Tab 8.9, which features 8.9” WXGA 1280 x 800 TFT display, is ultra slim at 8.6 mm (just like Tab 10.1), and is very very light at just 447 grams. These two features are what that make Galaxy Tab 8.9 our favorite for this screen size.

And that’s all besides the Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 3 MP and 2 MP cameras, 16/32 GB internal memory, 1 GB RAM, 1080p playback capacity and other current usual specs.

The tablet is available in two colors: White and Gray; and both colors have two variants: 16 GB and 32 GB, costing $470 and $570 respectively.

And if you’re in a hurry to buy one, hold out till October 2 when the tablet will be released, and you’ll have a chance to read reviews and stuff before debiting your credit card.
