It has only been a couple of weeks since the Galaxy S7 was officially unveiled by Samsung over at MWC, and the device hasn’t even made it to consumers yet and we already have a port of Galaxy S7 ROM for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge devices.
Developer bulldog74ts over at xda has just released NobleRom for the Galaxy S6 G920F and S6 Edge G925F, which is a port of Galaxy S7 Edge firmware that leaked a few days ago for our hero devices.
The ROM is pre-rooted and uses G935FXXU1APB6 as base firmware. Check out other features of the ROM below:
- Stock odex Framework S7 Edge – App S7 Edge – Priv-app S7 Edge (camera S6 Stock)
- Fast ROM boot in 2 minutes
- Add iOS Emoji
- Various Tweak CSC & Build prop
- USSD works
- Add Advanced Power Menu
Unfortunately, one of the most exciting feature of Galaxy S7, Always-On display, isn’t yet ported over to S6 and S6 Edge with this port of S7 Edge firmware. But we’re hopeful that the dev will soon find a way around this and bring Always-On feature to (at-least) the 2015 flagships of Samsung.
You can grab S7 Edge ROM port for S6 and S6 Edge from the download link below and simply flash/install it to your device like you’d install any other custom ROM via TWRP recovery.
