Getting SMS texts and call logs forwarded to a user defined email account is not a novel concept, and has been around for quite a while now. It’s a good feature to have, especially if you have forgotten your phone at home, or do not have access to it during a long meeting.
However, you would have still had to wait till such time as you are bale to access your phone to be able to respond back to received texts, or call back people who were trying to reach you. PopMyPhone SMS Email GPS – a new app by Admatica, provides a perfect solution for this problem that many of us face often. PopMyPhone lets you forward SMS, MMS and missed call information to an email address you specify, and you can access them via email right on your tablet or computer.
That’s not all. You can also respond to SMS texts via Email, and that is most definitely a handy ability to have during those long, boring meetings where you aren’t allowed to carry your phone. No more tell-tale buzzes which raise eyebrows in the conference room, plus the comfort of reading and responding to texts on a larger screen. And oh yeah, if somebody else uses your phone to make calls or send texts in your absence, you get to know about that too!
Wait, this app can do some more seriously cool stuff. If you can’t remember where you left your phone, all you need to do is simple send an SMS to your number with the text #locate from any other phone, and the a Google Maps location of your phone is automatically sent to your email address.
If you think this is a cool and must-have app, just like I did, hit the download button below to get it for free from the Google Play Store.
