How to unlock your first six Wild Zones

Wild Zones 1–6 are accessible early, granting wide access to low-level Pokémon.

Play through the tutorial until you enter Lumiose City.

Advance the story to Main Mission 5 – “The City in the Shadow of Prism Tower.”

Step 3

Return to the central console in Prism Tower to receive notification of unlocked Wild Zones 2–6.

Open the map; you’ll now see markers for Zones 1–6 ready to explore.

How to access mid-game Wild Zones (7–13)

Zones 7–10 unlock after Mega Evolution story beats, while Zones 11–13 open as you climb the rank ladder.

Revisit Prism Tower to trigger the cutscene revealing Wild Zone 20.

Step 3

Head to the new map marker beneath the tower to explore the largest Wild Zone.

Plan your exploration route around daytime versus nighttime spawns, and use Tera Raid dens to supplement your catches.
