Google has given its Pixel Screenshots app a significant makeover that will change how you interact with your captured images. The latest update brings a more streamlined and user-friendly experience to your fingertips.

In the October Pixel Feature Drop, they revealed the removal of the separate “All screenshots” view. Instead, you’ll find enhanced grid density controls right on your main screen.

You can now choose how you want to view your screenshots – whether it’s a compact four-square layout, a balanced three-square view, or a more detailed two-rectangular preview option.

The homepage maintains its familiar feel with carousels for Reminders and Collections but adds new functionality that puts more control in your hands.

You can now long-press to select multiple screenshots at once and perform quick actions like sharing, adding to collections, or deleting them.

Google has also added convenient app shortcuts to your home screen. You can now “Take a photo” or “Add image” without having to navigate through multiple menus.

The Collections feature has been refined too, with a new floating action button replacing the old “Select screenshots” option.

The update brings some thoughtful improvements to the app’s AI capabilities as well. You’ll notice better handling of text with truncated transcriptions and descriptions, making it easier to read and access the “Add a note” field.

Thanks to enhanced voice command integration from the October Feature Drop, you can now search through your screenshots using natural language by simply adding “in Screenshots” to your voice commands.

You can get this update easily as Pixel Screenshots 0.24.373.08 is being made accessible to eligible devices through the Play Store.

This update represents Google’s ongoing commitment to improving the screenshot management experience on Pixel devices, making it more intuitive and efficient for your daily use.
