What to know
- Progress only registers when the current pillar is activated in the correct order; the UI will begin counting (e.g., 1/6).
- The route starts near the central tower area, using nearby crates/rooftops to reach multiple pillars.
- One pillar that can be interacted with early is meant to be activated later as step 4.
- The final pillar involves draining water by flipping two green flaps, then activating the pillar once the pool is empty.
In Arknights: Endfield, the “Activate the auxiliary towers in order” segment under the “Pillars of Destiny” challenge is a path-and-order puzzle: several similar auxiliary pillars must be triggered in a fixed sequence, and incorrect activations won’t advance the 0/6 counter. The reliable confirmation is the objective tracker—once the right first pillar is used, the tracker begins incrementing and each correct activation “locks in” the next step.

| Reference point | What it’s used for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Central tower area | Starting orientation anchor | The route repeatedly returns near the center to line up the next pillar. |
| Farm-side pillar near pallets/crates | First pillar location | Close to the farm and across from the central tower. |
| Stairs-side pillar | Second pillar location | Located to the right of the central area near stairs. |
| Rooftop access via cliff/crates | Third pillar location | Multiple ways up; the pillar is on a rooftop. |
| Earlier “didn’t count” pillar | Fourth pillar activation | Return and activate it later to make it count. |
| Opposite rooftop near central area | Fifth pillar location | Reached using crates on that side. |
| Water container by farm | Sixth pillar setup | Drain water by flipping two green flaps. |
How the puzzle’s progress check works
If a pillar changes state (such as turning red) but the counter stays at 0/6, the activation was out of order. Once the correct first activation is done, the counter begins to track properly (1/6, 2/6, etc.), making it much easier to confirm the remaining sequence. If progress stops partway through, it usually means the most recent pillar was hit out of order—returning to the known correct route and re-aligning from the central area is the fastest way to recover.
How to activate the auxiliary pillars in order
Step 1

Start in the middle near the big central tower and activate the pillar beside the pallets/crates near the farm (across from the central tower).
Step 2

From there, move right and activate the second pillar located next to the stairs.
Step 3

Reach the rooftop (via the cliff route or by climbing up crates) and activate the third pillar on that rooftop.
Step 4

Return toward the center (the video shows a nearby fast travel point on the map), then go back to the earlier pillar that “didn’t count” before; activate it now as the fourth step.
Step 5

From the central pillar area again, cross to the opposite rooftop and use the crates on that side to climb up, then activate the fifth pillar.
Step 6

Go back near the first pillar by the farm to find a water container; flip the two green flaps to drain the pool, then activate the last pillar once the water is drained.
Common issues and fast fixes
- Counter stuck at 0/6 after activating a pillar: The sequence hasn’t started correctly yet. Return to the farm-side pillar near the pallets/crates and begin again from step 1.
- Progress stops mid-way (e.g., it won’t move from 3/6 to 4/6): The most recent pillar was likely activated out of order. Reposition back at the central tower area and follow the same route to the intended next pillar.
- Final pillar can’t be completed: The pool must be drained first. Flip both green flaps so the water empties, then interact with the pillar.
- Trouble reaching rooftop pillars: Use either the cliff approach or the stacked crates, depending on which rooftop is being targeted. If movement feels awkward, approaching from the central area and lining up the climbable objects first usually stabilizes the route.

Completing the Pillars of Destiny objective cleanly
Following the six activations exactly as listed—farm-side pillar, stairs-side pillar, rooftop pillar, return pillar, opposite rooftop pillar, then the drained-water pillar—should advance the tracker cleanly to 6/6 and finish the objective. If anything looks “active” but doesn’t increment the counter, treat it as a mis-order and reset from step 1 rather than trying to brute-force random pillars.
