The ultra-thin smartphone fad is yet to die down whether we like it or not, and Huawei is looking to set records with the Ascend P6-U06 – this quad-core smartphone is said to be the thinnest smartphone ever with a thickness of 6.18mm, and some photos of the device have leaked showing its black variant in all its glory.

Despite being razor-thin, the P6-U06 packs in some high-end specs – it has a 4.7″ 720p display, 1.5GHz quad-core HiSilicon K3V2 chipset (made in-house by Huawei) along with 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front shooter, 32GB of internal storage, and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, no doubt with Huawei’s flashy Emotion UI on top.

The Ascend P6-U06 measures 132.6 x 65.5 x 6.18mm and weighs 120g, meaning you’ll often be worried about dropping the phone, at least in the first few days of ownership. Judging by the pictures, the device looks rather uninspiring in its design, though it certainly looks sleek and premium nonetheless.

Huawei Ascend P6-U06 is expected to be available in white, black and also a pink color option, though release date and pricing details are unknown as of now.
