Unlocking a new Yari skill is a distinct step following combat missions. Here’s how to do it:

Step 1

Complete the mission to liberate either Higashi Lumberyard or Bold Kaji Forge. Upon success, you will be prompted to visit the nearby Altar of Reflection.​

Step 2

Approach the Altar of Reflection and bow to it. This act grants a skill point and opens up the skill acquisition menu specifically for the Yari spear.​

Step 3

Open the technique/growth menu in the game. Locate the available Yari skill for unlocking—namely, Typhoon Sweep.​​

Step 4

Spend your awarded technique point to unlock Typhoon Sweep. This new move enables Atsu to perform a sweeping spear attack, ideal for handling clustered enemies and regaining space in melee battles.​
