We’re surprised from the spec-sheet the Pantech Vega LTE boasts of — 4.5inch display with a cool 1280×800 pixels resolution, powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and featuring 4G LTE, 3G, 16GB storage, 1830 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, A-GPS, etc all in a body that’s 9.35mm thin and weighs 135.5 grams.
Sure, Specs aren’t anything. Last year, LG produced world’s first dual-core phone in Optimus 2X and it wasn’t successful at all. But Samsung launched its dual-core machine in Galaxy S2 around 5 months later than the 2X, and S2 became a huge success. Much depends on the hardware’s integration with software and other things.
But for what spec-sheets are worth Pantech Vega LTE holds enough to shock anyone looking for a dual-core beast device with TE on board.
Launch Details: Pantech has announced the Vega LTE for Korea only till now and I think depending on the success there — which would be tough due to presence of LH Optimus LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE — the Vega LTE will be launched elsewhere.
Note: As and when more info is available, this page will be updated with details as to price, release date, carrier, launch regions, etc.
