Who is Oyuki

Oyuki is introduced as a wandering shamisen (string instrument) performer. But her role is more than an entertainer: she was once a shinobi operative serving under Saitō in the the Yōtei Six. Driven by guilt over her past complicity, she attempted a betrayal. That attempt failed, and she was replaced by her disciple.

Her motivation is one of redemption: she joins Atsu’s cause to help overturn the horrors committed in the name of the Yōtei Six and to atone for her past.

When you meet Oyuki and why

You encounter Oyuki during the arc focusing on the Kitsune and poison production (wolfsbane operation). At this stage:
