The Chinese firm OnePlus has announced in its official forum that the OxygenOS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop will be launched alongside the eagerly anticipated OnePlus 2. The firm is working on the successor of the OnePlus One right now and it is all set to be launched in the coming months.

OxygenOS was launched for the OnePlus One in April this year and it is the custom ROM build based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. The maker assures to increase the speed of the updates once the OnePlus Two goes official. At that time, OxygenOS will be the only ROM for the OnePlus devices.

A CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop will arrive for the OnePlus One soon. The firm has already started testing the preview build. Also, OnePlus will soon release a fix for the touch screen issues of OnePlus One. Both the CyanogenMod and OxygenOS based units will receive this patch.
