Moto G4 Plus sets that were already rocking Android 7.0 build are in for another update, that installs the December security patch on the device. Sadly though, the new OTA update is also based on Android 7.0, and note Android 7.1.1 which many of you would be hoping for now.
For not, we expect Motorola Nougat update based on Android 7.0 to rollout for devices like Moto Z Play, G4 Plus, X Style, X Pure, etc. while the Android 7.0 is not known to have entered testing yet.
The latest update ups the software version of the Moto G4 Plus to NPJ25.93-14, and is already available for download too. The update also fixes the issues with notification tone, while improving system stability of your Moto G4 Plus. The update is sized around 114.8MB.
Being OTA download, you would need to have stock recovery installed, which is a concern for those who has installed TWRP recovery. The base version required for successful installation of the December patch update is NPJ25.93-11, which is your Moto G4 Nougat update.
Here’s your download link to install the December patch update on Mot G4 Plus, along with installation guide that uses ADB sideload method to install the OTA update.
